In Lightroom 5, there are many new features. There are fewer tools and more functions found under the File Menu, which is much less cluttered than it was previously. I appreciate the way the new version takes up less room, creating a more clean and free atmosphere. In addition, if you select “File” from the File Menu, you can choose an option from the condense menu, and all the panels under the menu vanish to much less clutter. I personally appreciate this change. However, I do wish the new condense function offered the option to hide panels that I rarely use, so that they would not disjoint the view.

I am including a few images so that you better understand the new functionality of Lightroom 5. I will mention an image that is included in the Lightroom 5 package. You can find that picture in the first screenshot. It’s not very important, but it was actually taken with a modified version of Photoshop. The new Camera Raw presets are a mix of the tool’s known presets and its more open processing. To test the presets, you need to run a batch process in Photoshop. When each preset is selected, you must output a.xmp file from Camera Raw into Photoshop and then click Save. The presets are not combined into a single preset, but there are new values in each sequence.
